Owen Calder
Owner and General Manager
Owen grew up on the barge deck and has run Slack Water since 2016.
He prices every job himself, and he is the person you call when a plan meets the real tide.
Owen holds a diploma in civil engineering technology from Camosun College and a commercial diving ticket, so he can check his crew’s work from both sides of the waterline.
He hosts Tide Notes with Marcus Hale.
FUN FACT
Owen keeps a jar of every kind of seabed the crew has driven a pile into. The shelf in the yard office holds thirty-one jars.
